User CP - This is where you can personalize your online profile. Access for the User Control Panel (User CP) is the link right below the Homepage link on the menu. 

Once you click on the User CP, in the left hand column, you'll see the following:

1. Edit Signature: Text and/or a small image will appear automatically at the bottom of every post you make if you use this option.

2. Edit Email & Password: This is your default email preference, and the place where you change your forum access password. It's not visible to anyone but you.

3. Edit Profile: You can also access your Email & Password here. 

   1. Panic Button - URL Jump: Inside each thread is a "panic button". If, say you are viewing important information on this site and your boss sneaks up behind you, you can switch your browser to the URL of your choice. P

   2. Profile Privacy: You can let everyone or no one view your personal data, or select members from your friends list.

   3. Custom User Title: Some users like to say something about themselves here. It appears right below the avatar.

   4. Date of Birth: If you fill this out, everyone will know your age, and a message will announce your birthday on the forum. Feel free to lie about your age here.

   5. Homepage URL: A link to your homepage. Linking to porn or commercial accounts is cause for account suspension. 

   6. Instant Messaging: You can add your instant messaging contact(s) here if you want others to be able to reach you via your profile.

   7. Additional Information: If you'd like to share a bit of information with other users here, this is self explanatory. You can also add a flag, sports teams, and other information which will display in your posts should you desire.

4. Edit vbPlaza Options: From here, you can hide gifts, hide awareness ribbons, select PM notifications options, hide points, and hide or display changes you purchase in the store.

5. Edit Avatar: From here, you can set the avatar you want to display in when you post. You may remotely host, or Expatkorea will host your image.

6. Private Messages: From here you can List, Send, Track, and manage your Private Messages (PMs).

7. Subscribed Threads: From here, you can subscribe to threads you wish to watch for activity.

8. My Smilies: You've probably noticed that Expatkorea has a lot of smilies. Some are naughty, and some are nice. You can add you own here to use in posts.

9. Miscellaneous:

   1. Event Reminders: Self explanatory, these work with the calendar.

   2. Group Memberships: There's only one group called "Mongers" at the moment. Figure this out on your own, and seek to join at your own risk.

   3. Buddy / Ignore Lists: If you want to ignore someone (an annoying poster for instance), use this option. Posters you ignore won't be able to post in threads you start. 

10. Attachments: This option is disabled on the forum
