Superbowl Options?

I'm not a huge NFL fan, but I do enjoy watching the Superbowl.

Well, my Slingbox is temporarily down (my parents are moving). One option is my favorite sports bar - they will show it delayed at 9pm. Will any of the local sports channels carry it (I have Skylife) live or delayed?

I've watched it in the past on a Korean sports channel, but tuning into audio on the AFN radio station. However, last time I tried that trick, it seemed AFN was not broadcasting the game. Maybe there's an internet option.

why do they call it a bowl? every year i hear about this and i wonder.

usually a korean broadcaster (SBS Sports I think) shows the game live, there will likely be some online feeds going on, its going to be a cat and mouse game with the nfl shutting down streams pretty fast.

a bunch of bars will be showing the game live at 8am, partial list that i know of include:
3 alley pub
sam ryans
wolfhound
rocky mountain tavern
scrooge (not sure but did last year)
phillies in hbc
vfw in hbc
hooters in gangnam area showed it last year

3 alley should have the afn sports feed which means cbs announcers, and the cbs pregame show, they have the past few years, not sure what feed sam ryans will get depends if al can run it upstairs. no idea what feed the other places get though i'm fairly sure vfw gets the afn feed

get there early as most bars will be packed as soon as the doors open

how about espn?

damn, i really don't know if i can stand walking up that early to go all the way into seoul.

Watched it at my brother's place. I've only ever watched two entire football games in my life, this one being one of them. It was okay, I guess.. The onside kick was exciting, and the fourth-quarter interception by New Orleans, too.

Mostly, though, I just sat there bored and confused. My four-year-old niece and her friend were there, so I mostly played with them and read them stories while the men discussed the game. I have no idea what's going on when people start talking about tight ends, zones, nickels..

Oh, I just realized the title of the thread says "options", not "opinions". Oh well.. What did you guys think? Anyone end up watching it live?

Although I've accidentally seen the score, I'll go to Beer O'Clock tonight and watch the delayed showing. Sounds like it was a good game.

hasnt been on regular afn in years because of the over the air signal, nfl wants to give exclusivity to whoever it sold the korean rights to.

watched it at 3 alley pub, they had a feed from nfl.com which was the cbs feed with most of the commercials. place was packed as per.

great game, so happy for drew brees and the people of new orleans they really deserved to win for once

I caught a replay of the game last night and was struck by the homo-erotic nature of the event. Nonetheless, full credit to the guys in the gold spandex, well played and congratulations to those of you rooting for them.

Fuck yeah. I really am flabergasted when people think I'm gay because I don't watch football. I'm not the one with my nose shoved up another dude's ass as he bends over right in front of me. It doesn't make any sense.
